Approach
The objective was to identify a compelling molecular biology topic lacking effective visual communication and design an infographic through iterative feedback sessions with the course instructor. This project illustrates neutrophil extracellular traps, or NETs, which are a highly effective defense mechanism of the innate immune system. The infographic describes the formation, function, and disease implications of NETs.
Elements of this piece were created using ChimeraX, The Protein Imager, and CellPAINT. To accompany the final infographic, a comprehensive annotated bibliography was created including all content, visualization, and technical references.
